There are a wide number of different championships running at Formula 3 level around the world, headed by the FIA Formula 3 Championship that supports Formula 1. Below this, there are official Regional F3 championships covering Europe, America, Asia and Japan – as well as the independent Formula Renault Eurocup and W Series. Others, such as Euroformula and Super Formula Lights, remain faithful to the classic F3 concept.
Kiwi youngster Nick Cassidy became the Toyota Racing Series champion for a second consecutive time after closest rival Lucas Auer was hit with a penalty after the second race at Manfeild, before going on to win the final race of the season.
