Marciello dominates Friday practice at Nurburgring

Championship leader Raffaele Marciello was quickest over both sessions of Friday practice during the European F3 round round at Nurburgring.

In the first practice session, Marciello cleared closest opponent Jordan King by 0.2s. T-Sport’s Alexander Sims took third, with Carlin duo Daniil Kvyat and Harry Tincknell rounding out the top five.

Marciello’s chief rival Felix Rosenqvist placed sixth, with teammates Michael Lewis and Mitchell Gilbert closing out the top eight. Jann Mardenborough was ninth, making it four Carlin cars in the top ten, with Lucas Auer in tenth.

In session two, Marciello led Sven Muller, with Sims again taking third. Auer finished in fourth, with King and Kvyat taking the next two spots. Another Carlin driver Mardenborough beat Rosenqvist to seventh, with Lewis and Fortec’s Pipo Derani closing out the top ten.
