There are a wide number of different championships running at Formula 3 level around the world, headed by the FIA Formula 3 Championship that supports Formula 1. Below this, there are official Regional F3 championships covering Europe, America, Asia and Japan – as well as the independent Formula Renault Eurocup and W Series. Others, such as Euroformula and Super Formula Lights, remain faithful to the classic F3 concept.
Syun Koide clinched the Super Formula Lights title with victory in the first race of the Motegi finale, which he ended with his eighth win.
