Blomqvist quickest in final session of Hungaroring test

British racer Tom Blomqvist led a Carlin 1-2 in the afternoon session of day two of FIA F3 European Championship testing at the Hungaroring.

Blomqvist was one tenth quicker than fellow Carlin driver Jordan King, with Mucke’s Lucas Auer rounding out the top three.

Antonio Giovinazzi was the third Carlin representative in the top four, having made the top five in all four sessions of the Hungaroring test. Van Amersfoort Racing rookie Max Verstappen picked up fifth, with morning pacesetter Felix Rosenqvist close behind in sixth place.

Jake Dennis and Ed Jones – both representing the everpresent Carlin team – were seventh and eighth respectively, while Esteban Ocon and Felix Serralles completed the top ten.

The FIA F3 pre-season will continue at Spielberg on April 8-9.
