Vermont fastest of the day in the wet at Spa

William Vermont posted the fastest time of the two wet practice sessions on a red flag-disturbed day at Spa Francorchamps.

The Frenchman recorded a time of 2.27.448 in the afternoon, whilst it was Fortec?s Jake Dennis at the top of the morning timesheets with a 2.39.600 before Oscar Tunjo brought out the red flag.

Dennis? time in the morning was followed by Oliver Rowland and Nyck de Vries with French pair Pierre Gasly and Vermont recording the fourth and fifth fastest times in the rain.

Steijn Schothorst, Luca Ghiotto and Esteban Ocon were sixth, seventh and eighth with double race winner from Aragon, Matthieu Vaxiviere ninth as Guilherme Silva completed the top ten which was covered by one second.

In the day’s later and considerably faster practice run on a drying track, again de Vries was in the top three, this time in second and seven tenths off Vermont?s time. Brazilians Bruno Bonifacio and Silva finished fourth and fifth quickest with Gasly featuring in the top five once more.

KTR?s Ignazio D?Agosto was in sixth ahead of Russian Egor Orudzhev with Schothorst again in the top ten. Victor Franzoni was the ninth fastest man on track with Benjamin Bailly of RC Formula keeping Vaxiviere out of the top ten fastest drivers.
