Koiranen drivers George Russell and Nyck De Vries topped the two Formula Renault Alps practice sessions in Spielberg on Friday.
Russell topped the opening session with a time of 1m30.427s, 0.12 seconds ahead of Cram Formula Abarth champion Alessio Rovera.
Ignazio D’Agosto, making a guest Alps appearance with Koiranen at the scene of his single Eurocup victory last year, was third, with team-mate De Vries fourth.
The championship leader just edged out Russian teenager Matevos Isaakyan, with Pau podium finisher Hugo de Sadeleer completing the top six. Dario Capitanio was seventh ahead of Denis Korneev, Charles Leclerc and Luke Chudleigh.
De Vries managed a 1m30.265s to top the second session, with Rovera again second and this time just 0.025s adrift of top spot.
Championship P2 man Simon Gachet was third ahead of Russell, Capitanio and Leclerc. James Allen took seventh with the top ten rounded out by D’Agosto, de Sadeleer and Matteo Gonfiantini.
