Alessio Picariello continued to appear unstoppable during the ADAC Formel Masters round at Nurburgring, dominantly converting another front row start into his second victory of the weekend.

The Belgian could not clear his teammate and poleman Maximilian Gunther right off the line today, but, after just one lap, Picariello was back into the lead, calmly controlling the race until the checkered flag.

Gunther secured another podium for himself, completing a Mucke 1-2 finish at the line. In third, youngster Ralph Boschung withstood a serious challenge from Red Bull junior Beitske Visser to ensure his second podium of the year.

Fourth-placed Visser completed the list of frontrunners for the race while an entire ten seconds adrift, around five or six drivers were engaged in a battle for fifth place. With Hendrik Grapp slowing the pack down in the opening laps, it was Jason Kremer who managed to clear the German first, but it was of little use to the Schiller Motorsport driver as he was forced to dive into the pits for a drive through penalty shortly after.

Eventually, after a series of bold overtaking moves, it was Marvin Dienst who secured fifth, with his teammate Stefan Riener slotting into sixth. Lotus man Mikkel Jensen finished in seventh, prevailing in a late-race battle against eighth-placed Nicolas Beer and his teammate Indy Dontje in ninth. After a collision involving Grapp and Fabian Schiller eliminated both of them from points contention, Red Bull youngster Callan O’Keeffe picked up the final spot in the top ten.
