Yuven Sundaramoorthy is set to become one of the most experienced drivers in USF2000’s history as a national championship as he embarks on a third season.

The 17-year-old will once again drive for Pabst Racing, as he did in 2019 and 2020, and will be looking to improve on his best race finish of fifth.

Since his debut in 2018 he has made 34 starts in the series, and this year’s 18-race schedule will bring him up fourth in the all-time list if he completes the season.

“I’m really excited going into the new season, and happy to be back with the awesome crew at Pabst Racing,” said Sundaramoorthy.

“I’ve worked on a lot of different things in the off-season and feel really confident we can bring home a championship this year.”

“2020 was an adventure and taught us to adapt to ever-changing circumstances. For 2021, I’ll be managing racing alongside freshman classes at [university] college, and I’m excited for the challenge.”

Pabst Racing owner Augie Pabst added: “We’re looking forward to helping make 2021 a breakthrough year of on-track results for Yuven and his supporters. After testing with many of the other USF2000 teams in the fall of 2020, Yuven’s choice to return to Pabst Racing for his third season is truly a compliment and clearly demonstrates his faith in our ability as a team.”

Sundaramoorthy will be team-mate to 14-year-old Josh Pierson, who moves across from Exclusive Autosport. Last year, Pierson also a drove a USF2000 car in Atlantics, where he claimed two overall podiums.
