Yesterday’s race winner Ukyo Sasahara was fastest in Sunday qualifying and will start the second Eurocup FR2.0 race at Spa-Francorchamps from pole position.
The Japanese racer did just enough to earn his maiden pole, beating the other group’s benchmark and topping his own group by around two tenths.
Jake Hughes was once again quickest in group A and will make up a reverse front row to that of yesterday’s race.
Fortec duo Ben Barnicoat and Callan O’Keeffe will begin the Sunday race behind the top two, having been narrowly edged out to finish second in their respective groups.
Anthoine Hubert, on a streak of three podiums in the past four races, will start fifth, followed by Kevin Jorg and wildcard entrant Max Defourny.
JD’s Matevos Isaakyan, Josef Kaufmann’s championship leader Louis Deletraz and Koiranen’s Jack Aitken will complete the top ten on the grid.
