Team Lotus driver Markus Pommer collected his ninth and tenth pole position of the 2014 German F3 season in qualifying Lausitzring.
The 23-year-old German was 0.18s faster than his teammate Nabil Jeffri, who locked out an all-Motopark front row.
JBR Motorsport’s Nicolai Sylvest was third fastest with a late flyer, ending up ahead of Weiron Tan, Indy Dontje and Sam MacLeod, who took fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
Russian Nikita Zlobin and Colombian Andres Mendez secured seventh and eighth, with the grid for race one completed by Kang Ling, Maximilian Hackl and Luca Iannaccone.
The second-best times of the session, which determined the starting order for race three, saw Pommer and Jeffri locking out the top two once more.
The one change in the order is between Dontje and Sylvest, who took third and fifth respectively, as Tan remained in fourth.
Below the top five the grid is unchanged, with MacLeod leading Zlobin, Mendez, Ling, Hackl and Iannaccone.
