Nathan Tye will switch to Rodin Motorsport for his second season in Spanish Formula 4, and he will also race in its new winter series.
The 16-year-old came 17th in Formula Winter Series, claiming one pole and a fourth place finish from his two appearances, and 11th in Spanish F4 last year with Campos Racing as a single-seater rookie. He got two podiums in his main programme.
He stepped up to cars after coming third in WSK’s Open Cup, fourth in its Final Cup, eighth in the Champions of the Future series and 10th in the CIK-FIA European championship and WSK’s Super Master Series for OK karts, and was third in Rotax Max Challenge’s Asia Festival when he drove on Rotax Senior karts in 2022.
Before that, he was CotF champion and third in the European championship and WSK Champions Cup for OK Junior karts.
“I’m incredibly excited to be joining Rodin Motorsport’s Spanish F4 team for 2025. The team is driven, ambitious, and hungry to win, and I am confident we can have a really successful year together,” said Tye.
Rodin’s sporting director Benn Huntingford added: “[Nathan’s] achievements in karting and his rookie season last year show a strong determination, which we’re looking forward to working with developing throughout the season. We are confident that Nathan will be a strong addition to our Spanish F4 team, and we look forward to seeing what he can achieve this season.”
Tye will be team-mate to rookie Emma Felbermayr in the main Spanish F4 championship, with Felbermayr racing for Rodin in the exiting FWinter Series rather than Spanish F4’s rival creation.
