Dan Cammish secured his tenth win from as many races in this year’s British Formula Ford season while rookie team-mate Sam Brabham made it a one-two finish for the JTR team in the Oulton Park weekend’s opening race.

Cammish qualified a second ahead of the opposition in qualifying and then opened up a gap of more than two seconds over nearest rival Brabham on the opening lap alone. The gap increased to as much as seven seconds before Cammish backed off near the end to record a 3.9 second win.

Brabham got the jump at the beginning of the race on front row starter Harrison Scott, who lost a podium result when he clipped the tyres at the chicane and broke his suspension.

That promoted Juan Rosso into third, but the Argentine came unstuck on the final lap as he attacked Brabham, spinning on a kerb and allowing his Jamun team-mate and countryman Nico Maranzana take the final podium spot.

South African champion Jayde Kruger finished fourth on his debut, while James Abbott, Andy Richardson and Camren Kaminsky were the last of the finishers in a depleted field this weekend.
