After Josh Hill‘s retirement was announced just a couple a days ago, it seems that Fortec will have yet another seat freed up in the European F3 championship as Briton Will Buller has told AUTOSPORT he will not contest the remainder of the season in the series.
“We had a pretty difficult start to the year in the European championship so we’ve taken the decision not to continue, which seems like the sensible thing to do.” explained Buller.
The Northern Irish driver started the season off with T-Sport but soon left the squad, citing a lack of results as the reason. He joined Fortec for a campaign in European F3 as well as British F3 but the expected results have not come by, forcing Buller to abandon the former campaign.
Buller has clarified that the decision does not affect British F3, a championship that he’s currently leading with after one round out of four. He’s also stated that he’s planning to continue driving for Zeta Corse in World Series by Renault, having made his debut in the series with them at Moscow Raceway.
