Eriksson leads Jensen in Sachsenring practice

Team Lotus driver Joel Eriksson led the way in free practice for the penultimate round of the ADAC Formel Masters season at Sachsenring.

The Swede was 0.015s clear of championship leader Mikkel Jensen, with the Dane’s teammate Tim Zimmermann rounding out the top three two tenths down.

Jensen’s chief title rival Maximilian Gunther was the top Mucke driver in fourth, with Dennis Marschall in fifth – the top five separated by just three tenths.

Polish racer Igor Walilko was best of the rest in sixth, six tenths down on the leader. Sophomore drivers Fabian Schiller, Ralph Boschung and Kim-Luis Schramm took seventh, eighth and ninth respectively.

Lotus rookie Luis-Enrique Breuer was tenth fastest yet wound up causing a session-ending red flag with two minutes remaining on the clock.
