Estonian racer Tristan Viidas has topped qualifying for the penultimate French F4 round at Ledenon, while Anthoine Hubert has secured pole for the other feature race on second-best times.

In changeable track conditions, Viidas took over at the top of the timesheets mid-session and remained there until the checkered flag.

Jules Gounon, who enjoyed a clean sweep in the previous French F4 round at Magny-Cours, took second, with championship leader Hubert settling for third.

Usual frontrunners Felix Hirsiger and Matevos Isaakyan rounded out the top five. Dennis Anoschin took sixth, with Neal van Vaerenbergh lining up in seventh.

Kirill Karpov was eighth, while Frenchmen Marco de Peretti and Tom Le Coq rounded out the top ten.

While the qualifying determines the grid order for race three, the first one’s formation is decided by second-best laps. As such, championship leader Hubert will line up in first, with Gounon alongside on front row.
