Dutch racer Steijn Schothorst has produced another win for Josef Kaufmann Racing in Formula Renault 2.0 NEC, with a dominant performance in race two of the Assen round.

Again, the Dutchman enjoyed a good start to the race and was leading after lap one, after which he was pretty much untroubled for the lead. With his teammate Dennis Olsen holding back the two main rivals behind, Schothorst managed a calm, controlled race to take victory – his second of the weekend.

Olsen himself managed to keep both Matt Parry and Jack Aitken at bay for a lengthy period of time, before eventually surrendering to the charging Caterham junior. With Parry through on the Norwegian, Aitken attempted to follow suit, but wasn’t quite able to do so, settling into fourth as Olsen took another podium.

Mikko Pakari enjoyed a strong if lonely outing in fifth, while Andrea Pizzitola secured sixth, having taken the position away from Raoul Owens on lap six. Owens finised seventh, with Kuba Dalewski in eighth, as Louis Deletraz and Nicolas Jamin rounded out the top ten.
