Robertson charges to race two win at Donington

by Peter Allen

Charlie Robertson charged from sixth place to claim victory in the second BRDC Formula 4 race at Donington Park.

The HHC driver started fifth on the grid but actually lost a place off the start to Seb Morris. He gained a place when?James Fletcher went out on lap two out of third, before re-passing Morris on lap three for fourth.

Robertson then moved past James Greenway and Gustavo Lima on successive laps and set off after pole-sitter Struan Moore. Robertson gradually closed on the Hillspeed driver, eventually passing him on lap 10 of 12 to claim his second win of the season.

Moore and Lima completed the podium with Greenway taking fourth. Jake Dalton came through to finish fifth ahead of freshly-crowned champion Jake Hughes, who will now be the title holder regardless of the result of the appeal of Seb Morris

Morris could only finish eighth behind Raoul Hyman, with Matt Mason and Matthew Graham rounding out the top ten.
