Dario Orsini clinched his second Formula Abarth victory in race three at Imola.
The race start was a disaster for polesitter Alessio Rovera as he stalled on the grid. With the fight for the race lead wide open, Orsini overtook both Simone Iaquinta and Michele Beretta, and found himself leading the race.
As the race went on, Rovera quickly recovered to third, and spent the second most of the race trying to pass Beretta. Although he had several opportunities to make the move, he settled for third place, preserving his podium finish.
16-year-old National Trophy driver Sergey Trofimov finished behind the all-Italian top three after making a move on Giorgio Roda in the closing stages of the race. Lukas Moraes took sixth, as Simone Iaquinta only managed seventh because of a drive-through penalty. Vitaly Larionov and Sabino de Castro were the only retirements.
