Alex Ninovic converted pole into a controlled victory in GB3’s second contest at the Hungaroring.

The Rodin Motorsport driver’s only challenge came in the first few hundred metres. Having covered off fellow front-row starter Keanu Al Azhari off the line, Ninovic had to defend from the Hitech GP driver through the first two corners before edging clear.

The race was briefly interrupted by the safety car, as Xcel Motorsport’s Jack Sherwood retired at turn one with left-front suspension damage after locking up and collecting JHR Developments Kai Daryanani, who also was also forced to retire.

Ninovic maintained the lead when racing resumed on lap three. He pulled out a one-second advantage by the halfway stage, and pulled further clear from there to eventually win by 1.8 seconds ahead of Al Azhari, who scored his best result of the season.

Rodin’s race one winner Gianmarco Pradel lost third to JHR’s Noah Lisle at the start, and kept hold of fourth after a wheel-to-wheel battle with Hitech’s Deagen Fairclough on the opening lap.

Elite’s Will Macintyre swept around the outside of Fairclough into fifth following the safety car restart, but then slipped to seventh behind Velocity Racing Development’s Hugo Schwarze after running off the road a few corners later when Fairclough dived back up the inside.

Macintyre reclaimed sixth from Schwarze on lap four, and snatched fifth from Fairclough on the penultimate tour. Meanwhile, Lisle came home 1s clear of Pradel for his third podium.

Schwarze led home Xcel’s Patrick Heuzenroeder in seventh, and Rodin’s Abbi Pulling passed Argenti with Prema’s Reza Seewooruthun before finishing ninth.
