Momentum Motorsports keeps Kent Vaccaro in F3R Americas

by Rachel Hillman

Kent Vaccaro will continue in Formula Regional Americas with Momentum Motorsports for the 2020 season.

The Canadian graduated to the championship from United States Formula 4 last year, and took his first and only podium in just his second start. However he didn’t finish in the top five again and slipped down to 11th in the standings.

“I was able to do a lot of driving last year in several different types of cars,” said Vaccaro.

“I added to my skillset, and I think that will be beneficial in 2020 success. Additionally, working with Momentum Motorsports is like working with family. These guys put their heart and soul into my car and speed, and I want to thank them with wins.”

Momentum’s owner Phil Picard added: “We are very pleased to have Kent back behind the wheel.

“Kent had some high points in 2019 and had great pace at several events. As a team, we are committed to success and have worked harder than ever this off-season.

“We have our goals set high and will push to achieve them in 2020. At the end of the day, the ultimate goal is to be named the FR Americas Champion.”

In US F4 there have also been several additions to the grid, with Primus Racing signing karting champion Jeremy Fairbairn and retaining Aidan Yoder, while Hayden Bowlsbey has been retained at Alliance Racing to partner David Burketh.

The seasons for both championships are due to start on June 5-7 at United States Grand Prix venue Circuit of the Americas.
