Chris Middlehurst had a near perfect second round in Formula Renault Protyre at Snetterton, taking two wins and adding a second-place finish in race two to massively increase his championship lead over the competition.
The Briton started race one from pole and converted it into a victory. Jake Cook took his first podium in the series in second, with Matias Galetto achieving the same milestone by completing the top three. Ivan Taranov and Joe Ghanem were fourth and fifth respectively.
Race two, which saw Weiron Tan start from pole, marked the first win for Sam McLeod with Middlehurst in second and Cook in third. Henrique Baptista and Pietro Fittipaldi rounded out the top five as Tan had an early retirement.
Tan started from pole in race three as well, which saw almost half its field retire over 17 laps. Taranov won the race on-track but was disqualified post-race for dangerous driving. As such, Middlehurst was declared winner in the end, with Cook in second and maiden podium finisher Matt Rao in third. Jorge Cevallos and Tan, having led laps over the race, had to contend with fourth and fifth.
