Lynn claims top spot on Friday morning at Estoril GP3 test

Red Bull Junior Alex Lynn finished on top in the morning session on day two of the GP3 pre-season test at Estoril.

Setting his best time after a late red flag, Lynn led Carlin team-mate Emil Bernstorff by 0.223 seconds.

British drivers were again prominent at the top of the timesheets, with Dino Zamparelli (ART), Melville McKee (Jenzer) and Nick Yelloly (Status) completing the top five.

Marvin Kirchhofer was sixth for ART ahead of Koiranen’s Jimmy Eriksson and his own team-mate Alex Fontana.

Robert Visoiu (Arden) was ninth with Roman de Beer tenth for Trident.

The first pre-season test concludes this afternoon.
