Hubert takes another Pau win

by Valentin Khorounzhiy

Anthoine Hubert continued to thoroughly dominate the feature race events in French F4, this time taking his second win at the Pau street circuit.

The Frenchman rebounded after missing out on the podium by taking a confident, easy win, marking the fourth time he’s stood on the top spot of the podium in six races.

Formula BMW Talent Cup graduate Tristan Viidas finally overcame his lacklustre luck in second while, in third, Tom le Coq was another man to secure a maiden podium finish.

Florian Pottier completed a very profitable weekend in fourth, ahead of Remy Deguffroy and Dennis Anoschin. The Russian pair of Matevos Isaakyan and Kirill Karpov followed, with race two winner Jules Gounon in ninth. Simo Muhonen completed the top ten.

In the standings, Hubert amassed a thoroughly massive lead after two rounds. Gounon, Muhonen and Felix Hirsiger are his nearest rivals, but are way off in terms of consistency and outright pace, and it will be a shock if anyone can trouble the dominant Frenchman for the title.
