Anthoine Hubert secured his sixth and seventh pole position starts in the 2013 French F4 season, topping the qualifying session at Val de Vienne and setting the quickest second-best lap.

Hubert, as has become usual for the 2013 season of the series, was virtually untouchable throughout the session, leaving the rest of the field to fight for second. Tom le Coq and Kirill Karpov were the ones to contest the place for most of the session, with the Frenchman eventually joining compatriot Hubert for the grid of race three. Karpov clocked in in third, with Felix Hirsiger close behind in fourth.

German driver Dennis Anoschin was the fifth fastest driver, ahead of Jules Gounon and Matevos Isaakyan, who was mere thousandths quicker than eighth-placed Neal Van Vaerenbergh. Marco de Peretti and Simo Muhonen rounded out the top ten.

For race one, the grid for which is formed based on second-best times of the drivers, Hubert will also share the front row le Coq, with Anoschin lining up in third.
