Hitech GP has signed Red Bull juniors Dennis Hauger and Liam Lawson to complete its 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship line-up.

Lawson is a returnee to the championship, having competed for MP Motorsport last year and finished 11th in the points with two podiums, while Hauger is the reigning Italian Formula 4 champion.

They will join Renault junior Max Fewtrell, 10th in the 2019 standings, in the team’s three-car line-up.

“I’m happy to announce that I will drive in the FIA F3 Championship in 2020 with Hitech GP, and as a Red Bull Junior Team driver,” said Hauger.

“Super excited to start the season and get to work with the team.”

Hauger’s first experience of FIA F3 came in last October’s post-season test at Valencia Ricardo Tormo, where he was 23rd and seventh fastest in the two days he ran with Hitech.

His 2019 also included ADAC F4, where he narrowly missed out on the title, and a successful F3 debut via a Euroformula cameo with Motopark at Silverstone.

Lawson is the reigning Toyota Racing Series champion and current points leader, and in addition to FIA F3 raced to seventh in the Macau Grand Prix and was title runner-up in Euroformula with Motopark last year.

Hitech team principal Oliver Oakes said: “We are really pleased to have both?Dennis and Liam join us in F3 this year?and to continue?our partnership with Red Bull for a further season, retaining the trust from them to work with their talented drivers.

“Their ability behind the wheel has continually impressed us so we’re looking forward to a successful season ahead.?
