Tech 1 driver Pierre Gasly took pole for the Moscow Raceway Saturday race of the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, setting the quickest time in in Group A that went unmatched throughout the rest of the qualifying.
It was RSF-backed Briton Oliver Rowland who took first in Group B, but his time was around 0.2 off of Gasly, placing him in second on the grid.
In Group A, Steijn Schothorst was second, ahead of Prema’s Luca Ghiotto. Oscar Tunjo took fourth ahead of Alex Albon.
In Group B, it was Esteban Ocon who came within 0.1 of Rowland. Bruno Bonifacio will join his teammate Ghiotto on the third row, while Matthieu Vaxiviere took fourth in the group. Alex Baron will round out the top ten on the grid.
