Fenestraz secures double pole at Pau

by Gruz David

Sacha Fenestraz will start races one and three of this weekend’s French F4 round at Pau from pole after a close battle with Valentin Moineault.

The leading duo of the standings reigned supreme throughout the entire session, constantly lapping faster than the rest of the field.

Following a yellow flag situation, Fenestraz, who already had a narrow lead before that point, was one of few who managed to improve and consolidated pole.

He will start both races alongside Moineault, while the second row will be filled by Finn Simo Laaksonen and Frenchman Gabriel Aubry.

Giuliano Alesi was fifth in the qualifying order followed by Reuben Kressner, Julien Darras and Julien Andlauer. Sophomore duo Hugo Sugnot-Darniche?and Axel Matus completed the top ten of the session, which will also be the grid of race three.

For the first race however, an identical top four will start ahead of Darras, Alesi and Kressner. Andlauer will once again begin the race from eighth, while Matus and Sugnot-Darniche switch positions in ninth and tenth.
