Monegasque driver Stefano Coletti topped the Friday practice session of the GP2 round at Spa-Francorchamps.

While Fabio Leimer led the timesheets with ten minutes to go, it was the championship leader who eventually rose to the top, with the Swiss driver falling to third behind ART’s James Calado.

Russian Time’s Tom Dillmann was almost half-a-second down on Coletti in fourth, with the Hilmer pair of Robin Frijns, making his return to the GP2 series after a one-round hiatus, and Adrian Quaife-Hobbs following in fifth and sixth.

The DAMS duo of Stephane Richelmi and Marcus Ericsson were seventh and eighth respectively, the Monegasque having ended the session on a low note with a spin into the Bus Stop Chicane.? Julian Leal and Nathanael Berthon rounding out the top ten.

Championship contenders Felipe Nasr and Sam Bird were 12th and 13th, placing between the Caterham duo of Alexander Rossi and Sergio Canamasas.
