British driver Emil Bernstorff took his first victory of the season in an all Lotus podium in the final race of the weekend at Spa-Francorchamps.
With the race declared a wet race, most of the field elected to start on wet tires except for Bernstorff and pole sitter Marvin Kirchhofer. As the lights went green Bernstorff immediately jumped ahead of Performance Racing?s John Bryant-Meisner and Thomas Jager.
At the mid-race point Kirchhofer began to have technical problems allowing the Brit through and that is how it would remain. Lotus driver Artem Markelov came home in third to complete the all Lotus podium.
Meanwhile, behind the Lotus cars were three Performance Racing cars with Bryant-Meisner, Jager and Yannick Mettler in fourth, fifth and sixth respectively. Rounding out the top ten was Gustavo Menezes in seventh, Matteo Cairoli in eighth, Tomasz Krzeminski in ninth and local man Jordi Weckx in tenth.
German Hubertus-Carlos Vier continued his strong weekend with another Trophy class win ahead of Sebastian Balthasar and Maximillian Hackl.
