Local driver Alessio Picariello made it four wins from five this season after taking his second win of the weekend at Spa-Francorchamps.
The young Belgian quickly overtook pole sitter Jason Kremer, Maximillian Gunther and Nicolas Beer before the safety car was deployed to clean up a pile up at the first corner that put St?phane Kox out of the race.
The safety period forced the stewards to shorten the race to 19 minutes. Once the safety car peeled off into the pit lane, Picariello began to pull away again and finish 5.892 seconds clear of Beer in second place. Completing the podium was Gunther in third place.
Kremer came home in fourth place with Neuhauser Racing?s Marvin Dienst coming home in fifth place. Completing the top ten was Hendrik Grapp in sixth, Lotus drivers Mikkel Jensen and Callan O?Keefe in seventh and eighth, with Fabian Schiller and Indy Dontje coming home in ninth and tenth respectively.
South African Callan O?Keefe will start the final race on pole position.
