Danish driver Oliver Rasmussen will switch to Prema for a duel campaign in ADAC and Italian Formula 4 in 2019.
After a short karting career, Rasmussen made the switch to car racing this year, competing in the Italian F4 championship with Jenzer Motorsport.
He spent most of the season running in the midfield, taking a top 10 finish at Misano mid-way through the season, and finished 10th in the rookie standings.
Prema boss Angelo Rosin believes Rasmussen showed potential in his maiden season, and hopes to build on that in 2019.
?It is always great to welcome a new young driver to the team,? he said. ?We look forward to working with Oliver in the 2019 season.
?He only started to race single seaters this year but quickly showed good progress. He seems really committed and dedicated, so we think there will be a great chance to grow up professionally.
?We will provide him with our best support and I am certain the results will come naturally.?
Rasmussen added: ?I am really excited to join one of the best teams in business for 2019 in both the Italian and German F4 championships.
?I will do my best throughout the winter to prepare and be ready to fight at the front next year. I really want to thank Prema for giving me this chance. I hope this will be the beginning of a long and successful collaboration with the team.?
Rasmussen is the first driver to be confirmed for Prema?s 2019 F4 season.
