The dominant Motopark team has changed its Euroformula line-up again ahead of this weekend’s penultimate round at Barcelona.
Levente Revesz, who is currently third in the standings with one victory and seven other podiums, will be absent from the grid and taking his place in the team’s #11 car will be Ricardo Escotto.
The 19-year-old Mexican last raced in Europe in 2022, when he was competing in Italian and Spanish Formula 4, and since then he has been establishing himself on the American single-seater scene. He won a race en route to 13th in the USF Pro 2000 standings last year, and in 2024 rose to ninth in the points table but with two third places being his best results.
He also made four outings in second-tier single-seaters, joining Juncos Hollinger Racing in Indy Nxt. Two 13th places were the highlights of his spell in IndyCar’s primary feeder series.
Jose Garfias will remain part of Motopark’s line-up after taking pole on his debut last time out at the Red Bull Ring, while Michael Shin – one of the team’s regular drivers but only a part-time entrant – will be absent again at Barcelona and his place will be taken by Vladislav Ryabov.
Last year Ryabov did one Euroformula round, finishing fifth in his first race, which was his last appearance in single-seater racing. Prior to that the 18-year-old Russian had raced in Spanish F4, coming eighth in the 2021 standings with three podiums.
There will be eight cars on the Euroformula grid this weekend, matching race one at the Red Bull Ring as the biggest car count of this year.
