Lando Norris’s LN4 Fusion team has signed Eurocup-3 champion James Egozi for the 2027 FIA Formula 3 championship.
The 18-year-old American is the team’s first confirmed signing since its launch in early September and its acquisition of the assets and F3 championship entry of AIX Racing.
Egozi has dominated this season’s Eurocup-3 championship, clinching the title with two rounds still remaining. Driving for Palou Motorsport, the team owned by five-time IndyCar champion Alex Palou, Egozi has taken eight wins and four other podiums in 15 races.
Egozi began his single-seater career in Formula 4, driving for PHM in Italy and the Central European Zone, where he took two wins. He was signed up by the Red Bull Junior team for an F4 campaign in Spain in 2024 with Campos Racing but left the programme at the end of the year.
For 2025 he joined Palou’s team for both the Eurocup Winter Series, where he finished third with two wins, and the main championship where he was ninth after missing the last round, and had five top-five finishes including a victory at Portimao.
Egozi also showed promise in two Formula Regional European Championship outings as well as finishing 14th in the Macau Grand Prix.
Egozi expressed his gratitude “to the entire team for giving me the opportunity to join such an exciting project with LN4 Fusion. I’m ready to continue my development as a driver, and I am hungrier than ever for the 2027 FIA F3 season.”
LN4 Fusion’s CEO, Dan Richards added:”We are really delighted to have James on board. He has always been a very interesting prospect, and he made a remarkable breakthrough this year by dominating the Eurocup-3 championship. His results speak for themselves and we look forward to building on that form as we establish ourselves in the FIA Formula 3 Championship.”
