Entry completed for first day of Abu Dhabi GP2 test

Kevin Magnussen and Carlos Sainz are among the additions to the field for the first day of the GP2 Series post-season test in Abu Dhabi.

Magnussen will test with the same DAMS team that ran him to the Formula Renault 3.5 title, and will team-up with Stephane Richelmi who raced for the GP2 squad this year and finished eighth in the final standings.

Sainz, who has raced in GP3 and Formula Renault 3.5 this year, will line up with Carlin alongside Jazeman Jaafar, another FR3.5 driver.

Magnussen?s fellow McLaren junior and FR3.5 rival Stoffel Vandoorne will be with ART Grand Prix on the first day alongside Arthur Pic, with both expected to make the switch from FR3.5 to GP2 for next year. ?Another FR3.5 race winner can be found at Arden International in Nico Muller, who is joined there by former Lazarus driver Rene Binder.

Racing Engineering, who took Fabio Leimer to this year?s drivers? title, yesterday announced they will run Rio Haryanto and Jolyon Palmer on day one. Mitch Evans will drive for them later in the week but will be with teams? champions Russian Time on day one alongside German F3?s Artem Markelov, who is a protege of team boss Igor Mazepa.

Caterham had already announced their full test roster, with GP3 runner-up Facu Regalia joining Abu Dhabi feature race winner Alexander Rossi on day one. Addax, who?ve sold back to Campos for next year, will run Rodolfo Gonzalez and Russian FR3.5 driver Nikolay Martsenko.

F3 Open points leader Sandy Stuvik is testing for Rapax along with Simon Trummer, the only driver so far officially confirmed for 2014. Fellow Italians Trident are running Ferrari ace Raffaele Marciello on the first two days, with Julian Leal returning to the team he raced for in 2012 for Tuesday?s running.

Daniel Abt joins Hilmer Motorsport alongside Andre Negrao while Lazarus run Johnny Cecotto and F3 Open midfielder Denis Nagulin. Daniel De Jong will do all three days with his usual MP Motorsport team and will be joined on the first day by FR3.5 frontrunner Will Stevens. Stevens will drive for Caterham on the remaining days with his place being taken by GP3 race winner Tio Ellinas.
