Juan Manuel Correa will return to GP3 with Jenzer Motorsport following his race-winning Toyota Racing Series campaign.

The Ecuadorian-American abandoned his second season of Formula 4 with Prema in the middle of 2017 to step up to GP3 for the final four rounds with Jenzer.

Having come fourth overall in this year’s TRS with two race wins, he will now continue with Jenzer in GP3.

“I learned a lot in 2017 and can?t wait to get started in the GP3 Series this season,? said Correa, who won XXX races in Italian F4 with Prema in 2016 after stepping up from karts, where he was briefly on the books of the Lotus Formula 1 team.

?My goal is to continue to improve on the experience that I gained last year and move up the grid.

“I had a great series in New Zealand where I was able to work with my same GP3 engineer that I had last year as well as will have in 2018.

“We made great use of the winter season to fine tune our teamwork and communication which will definitely help throughout the season.

?Making the jump to GP3 for the second half of last season will be beneficial for me this year.”

Jenzer’s announcement of Correa follows that of Tatiana Calderon, with David Beckmann a strong contender to join them.

“We are very happy that Juan Manuel continues to race with Jenzer Motorsport,” said team boss Andreas Jenzer.

“We had a very strong season as a team in 2017 and we take all the positives into 2018.

“We are convinced that Juan Manuel, if he can realize his potential, will achieve excellent results with us.”
