Euroformula Open champion and McLaren Autosport BRDC Award finalist Harrison Scott will replace Asian Formula 3 championship leader Jake Hughes at Hitech GP for the final round at Sepang.

Scott dominated the 2017 EF Open season with RP Motorsport, and switched to Pro Mazda with the team this year, winning twice. His season was interrupted by a heavy crash at Toronto, which dropped him to eighth in the standings. Hughes is unable to compete at Sepang this weekend due to clashing GP3 commitments with ART Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi.

“I?m very excited to be returning [to F3] with Hitech GP and I?m grateful for the opportunity they have given me to race with them over in Sepang,” said Scott.

“I?d also like to thank my partners for their continued support. It?s going to be a good challenge for myself having not been to this circuit or driven the new Tatuus F3 car, but I am aiming to bring back more silverware for the team to carry on their success so far in the series.?

Scott will partner Charles Leong and Raoul Hyman, who needs to score 33 points out of a possible 75 to beat the absent Hughes to the title.
