Jarrod Waberski took his second win of the day in the final GB4 race of the season at Donington Park.

It completed a clean-sweep of victories across the weekend for Kevin Mills Racing, who sealed the teams’ championship, with Waberski taking second in the drivers’ standings.

Max Marzorati, who was second in the points heading into the finale, made a lightning getaway from fourth to move in between front-row starters Carl Bennett and Chloe Grant into the lead of the reversed-grid contest.

His team-mate Oliver Clarke climbed from sixth to also challenge Bennett and Grant into Redgate, but collided with Grant, taking him and the Graham Brunton Racing driver out on the spot.

The safety car was deployed to retrieve the two sticken cars from the gravel, with Marzorati continuing to lead at the resumption and Waberski soon moving past Fortec Motorsports’ Jessica Edgar into second.

Waberski then passed Marzorati on lap five exiting Melbourne, the pair slightly touching wheels, before pulling clear to take his fourth triumph of the campaign.

Edgar lost further ground to Elite Motorsport’s William Macintyre, who soon caught and passed Marzorati to finish second.

Newly-crowned champion Nikolas Taylor climbed from 11th to take fourth away from team-mate Edgar, and then went wheel-to-wheel for three corners with Marzorati, who conceded third after running through the gravel at Fogarty.

Megan Gilkes then dived up the inside of her team-mate into Melbourne, with the two cars colliding, damaging Marzorati’s radiator and ending his hopes of taking runner-up in the standings.

Jack Sherwood came from the back of the field to finish fourth for Elite ahead of KMR’s race one winner Mills. Aqil Alibhai was sixth for Scorpio Motorsport ahead of Edgar.

Marzorati and Gilkes slipped back to eighth and ninth, with Hillspeed missing out on the teams’ title. GBR’s Logan Hannah completed the top ten.
