ART Grand Prix’s Victor Martins took his second pole position of the weekend for the final Formula Renault Eurocup race of the weekend at the Nurburgring.
Martins was quick throughout the 20-minute session, which was delayed due to clearing the track following a previous session.
The drivers were in no rush to get out and set a representative time, with the first half of the session not featuring anything close to the benchmark set yesterday.
While Martins’ penultimate quick lap was good enough for pole, he went even quicker on his final tour to be fastest overall in the session.
Behind Martins was Bhaitech’s Lorenzo Colombo and R-ace GP’s championship-leading Caio Collet.
ART’s Gregoire Saucy was quick early on but slipped down to fourth place, ahead of JD Motorsport’s David Vidales in his second Eurocup weekend.
Vidales’ team-mate William Alatalo, MP Motorsport’s Franco Colapinto, R-ace’s Petr Ptacek, ART’s Paul Aron and FA Racing’s Tijmen van der Helm rounded out the top 10.
