German team US Racing has grown its 2024 Italian Formula 4, Euro 4 and Formula Winter Series line-ups to five cars with several recent signings.
Kabir Anurag, Akshay Bohra, Matheus Ferreira and Gianmarco Pradel have all been confirmed as racing for the team in all three series, alongside the already announced German karting graduate Maxim Rehm.
Anurag did six F4 tests with R-ace GP last year before making his single-seater racing debut in Italian F4’s Paul Ricard round in July with the team. He finished 26th and 17th in his first two races. Two months later he switched allegiances to US Racing, joining the team for the next two rounds and five post-season tests.
Fellow 16-year-old Singaporean Bohra started his car racing career in entry-level sportscar series Ginetta Junior in 2022. He earned a best finish ninth after completing just over half of the season, then made his single-seater debut in the Italian F4 season finale as team-mate to brother Nikhil at US Racing. He finished 13th in two of the weekend’s three races.
Bohra started 2023 by joining PHM Racing in F4 United Arab Emirates, where he scored three times, and then he reunited with US Racing. His first outing was a Formula Winter Series cameo, which resulted in a podium finish, then he did the Italian F4 and Euro 4 campaigns in full.
His first full Italian F4 season featured two podium appearances which put him eighth in the standings, while in Euro 4 he came third in the points table with a win and two poles.
Alpine junior Ferreira is another Italian F4 sophomore, and he spent his rookie season with Van Amersfoort Racing. The 16-year-old Brazilian’s best finish was a fifth place, and he came 18th in the standings. However in a Brazilian F4 cameo with Bassani Racing he took two wins.
Unlike his four US Racing team-mates, Ferreira has been confirmed only for a part-time FWinter Series campaign.
Pradel made it to the Ferrari Driver Academy’s Scouting World Final in 2022 after racing and winning in an F4 car in a state-level championship in his home country Australia. He also made a Spanish F4 cameo that year, then joined US Racing for winter testing before embarking on a multi-series F4 programme in 2023.
It began with the FWinter Series, where he was championship runner-up after taking six podiums from eight races. He then came 13th in Italian F4 and Euro 4, with one podium in the former and two eighth places being his best results in the latter.
