Stuvik maintains strong qualifying form with Saturday pole at Catalunya

Sandy Stuvik claimed his tenth pole position of the year in the first qualifying session of the Euroformula Open final round at Catalunya.

It was Alex Palou who took the early lead?and held it for much of the session. However, series champion Stuvik then emerged in first with six minutes remaining on the clock. As nobody was able to better him in the final stretch, the Thai racer ended up on pole and Palou had to settle for second.

The second row will be occupied by Yarin Stern and Artur Janosz, followed by series returnee Nelson Mason and top newcomer Alessio Rovera.

Campos Racing’s Konstantin Tereshchenko and EmilioDeVillota’s Yu Kanamaru qualified seventh and eighth respectively, while FIA F3 regular Michele Beretta and his BVM squadmate Damiano Fioravanti completed the top ten.
