Tanart Sathienthirakul and Vitor Baptista topped the two Euroformula Open practice sessions on the championship’s return from the summer break at Spa-Francorchamps.
West-Tec’s Sathienthirakul ended the opening session on top, only eight hundredths ahead of Damiano Fioravanti.
Title favourites Konstantin Tereshchenko and Vitor Baptista followed them in third and fourth, while Guatemalan Andres Saravia and Japanese Yu Kanamaru completed the top six.
Kusiri Kantadhee, a new entrant from Thailand driving for RP, took a promising seventh by just eight tenths off the pace before missing the second session.
Henrique Baptista, Yarin Stern and Diego Menchaca rounded out the top ten in?the first session.
In the afternoon, Vitor Baptista took control to record the benchmark time of 2m15.605s, denying Kanamaru by a tenth.
Fioravanti maintained?his strong run in third with Alessio Rovera, who has returned to DAV after contesting?the season opener with them and then switching to BVM, taking fourth.
Stern ended up fifth, followed by Campos’ Tereshchenko and Menchaca, Leonardo Pulcini, Saravia and Sathienthirakul.
