Alessio Rovera?enjoyed a relaxing Sunday drive in race one of the Formula Abarth opener at Vallelunga, storming away from the opposition to take the win.
Having started from pole, Rovera never once looked like he was going to be challenged and earned his maiden Abarth victory. Having started from third, Michele Beretta was second after lap one, a position he kept until the checkered flag.
Sergey Trofimov rounded out the podium, the Russian having started fifth and passing Luis Michael Dorrbecker and Aku Pellinen on lap one. Experienced Italian Simone Iaquinta was fourth, ahead of Pellinen and Federico Pezzolla. Dorrbecker was seventh, successfully fending off Lukas Moraes, while Loris Spinelli and Marco Tolama, Jr. rounded out the top ten.
