Rovera maintains qualifying streak with Imola double pole

Championship leader Alessio Rovera collected his seventh and eighth pole position in the seventh and eighth qualiying sessions of the Formula Abarth 2013 season at Imola.

In the first session, Rovera beat Dario Orsini and Michele Beretta by 0.2s and 0.5s respectively. In the second one, it was Beretta who secured a front row start, with Orsini lining up in third.

Outside the top three, the resulting classification wound up identical for both sessions. Simone Iaquinta and Giorgio Roda completed the all-Italian top five in both cases, while Sergey Trofimov maintained his stellar pace from Friday, remaining the best National Trophy class driver. Brazilian Lukas Moraes took seventh, with the grid for both races completed by Sabino de Castro and Vitaly Larionov.
