Isaac Phelps scored his second lights-to-flag GB4 victory of the weekend in race two at Brands Hatch.

In a repeat of the race one result, Phelps led Elite Motorsport team-0mate Ary Bansal and Hillspeed’s Dan Guinchard.

The win propelled him to second in the standings ahead of Bansal, while also closing to within 21 points of Guinchard at the top of the table.

Guinchard lined up alongside polesitter Phelps on the front row, but he faced pressure from Bansal into Druids on the first lap. Having retained second, Guinchard then challenged Phelps for the lead into Hawthorns bend but was run wide, allowing Bansal to slip past him.

Phelps romped clear over the remainder of the 13-lap contest to take the chequered flag a huge 9.3 seconds clear of Bansal, who was closely followed home by Guinchard.

Arden’s Leon Wilson passed Elite’s Alex Kattoulas at the start and held fourth until the finish. Kattoulas ran wide at Druids on the opening lap and lost out Hillspeed’s Leandro Juncos, who was simultaneously tagged from behind by Douglas Motorsport’s Luke Hilton.

Juncos suffered a rear-right puncture and eventually retired, while Hilton was forced to pit for a front wing and came home 19th. Kattoulas, meanwhile, resisted mid-race pressure from KMR Sport’s Alex O’Grady to finish half a second behind Wilson in fifth.

Thomas Ingram Hill held off Fortec Motorsports team-mate Jack Taylor and Douglas’s Dayton Coulthard for seventh, and Pace Performance’s Stefan Bostandjiev completed the top 10.

ADM’s Jason Pribyl retired following a first-lap collision, and Fortec’s Luca Magnussen also failed to see the chequered flag after an incident at the final corner.
