At PaddockScout, we usually prefer close battles, last-lap deciders and photo-finishes. But there’s certainly something to be said for those events where one driver runs the show, relegating his opposition to the background.
In cases like these, you can’t help but marvel at the talent that’s being displayed. And, certainly, 2014 had no shortage of that, with many young drivers asserting their mastery of tracks by outqualifying the rest by a second, cruising to victory from pole or charging from the back in a reverse-grid race.
