Lotus junior Esteban Ocon topped the timesheets on day one of the multi-category mid-week test at Imola, with EuroInternational’s Nabil Jeffri going quickest on day two.
With four hour-long sessions of running on Tuesday, the Frenchman, testing an F3 car with Prema Powerteam, ended up topping every single one. Another highly-rated tester – newly-crowned German F3 champion Marvin Kirchhofer – ended up coming second on all four occasions. Tom Blomqvist and Bruno Bonifacio both rounded out the top three on twice.
The second and final day of testing – Wednesday – saw two longer sessions, both topped by EuroInternational cars. Blomqvist was quickest in the first run, beating out Ocon and another Prema tester Ed Jones, while in the afternoon session, it was Jeffri who topped the timesheets, ahead of Blomqvist and Ocon.
Among the Formula Renault cars, Hans Villemi set the quickest time of the two-day event as the Koiranen regular tested for Prema. Meanwhile. series regular Michele Beretta posted the best lap out of the Abarth cars.
