Formula Masters China regular Matthew Solomon is expected to join Italian squad Prema Powerteam in the Formula Renault 2.0 Alps round at Misano, having been included in the provisional entry list.
The 17-year-old racer from Hong Kong features in the list as the driver of the car 31, under the Prema Junior squad – thus, he is set to partner series leader Antonio Fuoco. Solomon has previous experience with the car at Misano, having tested there with Prema on July 10-11, topping the session on the first day and generally showing good pace.
Racing with Eurasia Motorsport in Formula Masters China, Solomon currently occupies sixth place after three rounds, with a best finish of fourth.
Meanwhile, Italian squad Prema Powerteam has been dominating the Alps series this year, with their three drivers Fuoco, Bruno Bonifacio and Luca Ghiotto occupying the top three in the standings.
