Canadian Nelson Mason celebrated his fourth pole position of the season as he’s beaten his teammate Ed Jones by only 0.03s to take pole for race one at Monza.
The leading Team West-Tec duo completely dominated the session, overhauling the rest of the field by more than half a second and setting multiple times good enough to lock out the front row.
EmiliodeVillota Motorsport have two drives on the second row on the grid, as Hector Hurst and Yarin Stern took third and fourth respectively.
A difficult session for RP Motorsport saaw the ending of their qualifying streak and, as their fastest driver Alex Toril only took fifth, championship leader Sandy Stuvik was even further off the pace in sixth, with another teammate of his Santiago Urrutia 0.003s slower in seventh.
A stellar qualifying from Cameron Twynham gave him his first pole position in the Copa class as he took an overall eighth place. Artur Janosz and another Copa driver Igor Urien completed the top ten.
