DEForce Racing has added reigning NACAM Formula 4 champion Manuel Sulaiman to its Indy Pro 2000 line-up.
The 19-year-old Mexican graduated to single-seater racing in late 2016 with Ram Racing in NACAM F4, before heading over to British F4 for two seasons with JHR Developments, where he netted one podium finish.
Sulaiman returned to his home country and Ram for the 2018-19 NACAM season, and took 10 wins on the way to the title.
He spent the remainder of 2019 in USF2000 with DEForce, finishing second on his debut and taking sixth in the points. Post-season he remained with the team for the Chris Griffis Memorial Test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but this time driving the IP2000 car.
“I’ll be racing in Indy Pro 2000 in 2020,” said Sulaiman.
“I’m really happy to announce that I will be racing with DEForce Racing, and I’m looking forward to it.
“I’m sure we can work together and achieve some really good results.”
The signing of Sulaiman brings DEForce’s 2020 IP2000 line-up to four cars, alongside two-time title contender Parker Thompson and USF2000 graduates Kory Enders and Moises de la Vara.
USF2000 champion and scholarship winner Braden Eves has chosen to step up the series with Exclusive Autosport, with Colin Kaminsky remaining with Pabst Racing as he moves up a category.
Formula 3 Americas race-winner Jacob Abel will remain in IP2000 for a second season with family team Abel Motorsports. Atlantics race-winner Flinn Lazier is in consideration for the team’s second IP2000 car.
