German driver Lucas Wolf will continue with URD Rennsport for the 2013 season of European F3, according to the entry list released by series organisers.
Wolf, 18, graduated from karting in 2010, joining URD for a season in ADAC Formel Masters, where he finished eighth in his first year, with one podium, achieved in the final race of the season at Oschersleben. He continued in the series with the same team for 2011 and, despite taking a win and two other podium finishes, was eighth in the standings yet again, due to a large number of retirements over the year.
In 2012, both URD and Wolf moved on to the F3 Euro Series, where Wolf finished eleventh in the standings. Again, he showed much stronger form towards the end of the season, with his maiden podium coming at the final round at Hockenheim where, a year earlier, he took his ADAC Formel Masters win.
With Wolf being their only driver last year, URD Rennsport finished the 2012 F3 Euro Series season in seventh in the team standings – the highest-placed team out of the one-car runners and only two points adrift from Jo Zeller Racing.
